A Texas (USA) based company (SameLane) has just completed a piece of software that enables drivers to call strangers in other cars via their mobile phones!

Whilst in the past, singles have registered on specific websites and then been sent stickers to add to their bumpers hoping that someone will get in touch with them, in this instance motorists register their number (licence) late and mobile number on the dating site and then receive a sticker to add to their bumper to show they are available and can be called.

If someone likes the look of you and you have the sticker on your bumper they can call a central line, enter the number plate and then be put straight through to the other driver’s phone.

Sounds like a stalkers dream right!
The stickers on number plates has recently started here in the UK, but we are yet to see an internet entrepreneur make it rich in this field!

I stumbled upon the most fantastic sounding adventure earlier. It surely has to rate as one of THE most romantic things to do in North America. It involves sitting on your own rail dome car and being taken through the Rockies taking in that breathtaking beauty and views.

I sounds amazing but like all things amazing, it aint cheap! It would make perfect proposal scenario if you are thinking of popping the question.

As the old song goes ‘breaking up is hard to do’! We all of a sudden fall out of our comfort zone and into the unknown, and this is often very daunting for most.

In many cases a break up is down to bad communication, and not effectively talking when you need to. Obviously it’s up to both parties to make the effort and try and resolve whatever has come between you. The magic words are compromise and communication. Without either of these the relationship is doomed. There need to be an open dialogue at all times and it’s important that neither of you get too stubborn and bogged down on issues.  Obviously if you have been through all of this and still no resolve at lest you gave it your best shot and can move on. We all have regrets about previous relationships, things we could have done or said.

So the first thing to do if you are feeling distant from your partner is to talk and be honest with how you feel, then work towards a compromise and an agreement as to how you can either move on or try again.

A new website called ‘Let’s Grab a Drink’ recently launched with the owners behind it saying that a drink can tell a lot bout someone. The concept is simple you are matched depending upon your tipple (what drink you like). What does your drink preference say about you?

Some examples from the site:

Martini: Aspiring or established professional, accomplished, educated

Shots: Wild, spontaneous, noncommittal, fun loving

Fine wine or champagne: Refined, cultured, romantic

Beer: Sports enthusiast, easygoing, down to earth

Coffee or tea: Social, book and movie enthusiast

Online dating is a huge business and looks like it will continue to be into the future, but where is it all going?

Well you now have free dating sites, social networking, traditional membership sites, very niche sites… so where does technology go from here?

3D virtual worlds would you believe. Places you can decide what to wear on a particular day, to how you want your hair spiked, even down to your character size. These worlds are really not that far away as we thirst for more simulation with our experiences online.

This could be a gay bar?!

A number of sites have already developed these 3D environments although in most cases interaction and choice are relatively limited. Red 5 studios president Mark Kerm predicts that “a social-networking site without a 3-D universe will look like a dinosaur” five years from now.

So there you have it – we are all going to become Pixel People!
