Throughout life we will be rejected in one way or another, it’s one of those things. Whether it be that job you re going for OR that girl or boy who is way out of your league!
It is natural to take rejection personally, especially if we are sensitive. We sometimes feel small, unwanted, and insignificant, and it’s far too easy to look inward for an answer, which is a cardinal sin I’m afraid.
We end up beating ourselves up and looking in the mirror at a overly large nose, bum, belly… the list goes on. The simple fact is; you are who you are and you are more than likely a nice person if you are feeling like this so give yourself some credit for a change!

Canada now holds the record: Kisscafe, a Vancouver based online dating website, recently partnered with Rendezvous Club, a speed dating and singles event planner, to successful set a new world record for speed dating. With 100 men and 100 women in attendance at the Plaza Club on March 21, 2007, the record was set by completing 100 dates in 100 minutes. Tickets to the sold out event were $45.99 and included complimentary drinks, and appetizers.
During the event, the women were seated at tables, while each minute the men circulated around the room. The 200 singles in attendance, aged 25-40, had sixty seconds to meet, chat, and impress each of their dates. At the end of the 100 minutes, the world record had been set and the evening hailed as a great success for all who participated, as well as both the Rendezvous Club and Kisscafe.
The speed dating event was one of the first in-person singles events sponsored by the online dating website and was an opportunity to bring singles together for face to face meetings. The partnership hosts one speed dating event every two weeks, for singles between the ages of 19 and 25. Tickets are priced at $42.99, include complimentary appetizers and drinks, and are available at www.rclub.ca.
