A recent poll showed that Kylie Minogue was the male singleton’s most desired partner. No.2 was the sexy actress Denise van Outen who used to date Jamiroquai.

About her split from long term fella Olivier Martinez earlier this year, Kylie was recently quoted “I have to accept my life for its triumphs and its other sides, take the good with the bad. I experienced a totally new environment. I experienced a world of illness and positive attitudes”.

The 39-year-old singer, who was recently presented with the Music Industry Trusts’ Award, also revealed that she suffered from depression when she couldn’t work because of her exhausting chemotherapy treatment.
“I had the feeling I’d been stopped in the middle of a flight. A tour needs to gain momentum. It’s just like riding a bike, you need to pedal to gather speed”, she said.

“Suddenly, I was torn off the seat, aside from all the other things that happened to me. The depression suddenly came over but I had the goal of continuing the tour, and thinking back it was a blessing in disguise. I had to prove I had what it takes to continue what I had done in the past”, she added.

It’s no secret that we all tend to be working twice as hard as previous generations. The reason… we want more, and so do our employers – so work harder to generate more money.

It’s a sad thought I agree, but that’s our western society I’m afraid. This massive shift has led to a huge increase in office romances. Think about it… we are all working so much harder so when do we get chance to find a mate? In the chair next to yours of course!

A new book has just been launched called “Office Mate: The Employee Handbook for Finding - and Managing - Romance on the Job” which will help you understand the pros and cons of dating in the office.

The author of the book recently said “Your office is your little village,” “And most relationships that evolve in the office tend to evolve from friendships and not from instant physical attraction. In a certain way, office relationships are more old-fashioned.”

The book is of course American, but gloss over all that and the principals are exactly the same everywhere else. According to the authors, 50% of the respondents to a survey admitted dating a co-worker.

Were Apple trying to attract everyone? Well it worked!

The below is a result of numerous research carried out by experts:

White
White reflects light, cleanliness, innocence and purity. It goes with pretty much anything and is a strong neutral colour.

Black
Black commands authority and power. It also makes people appear thinner believe it or not. Black is also a colour of submission (e.g. a priest wears black in submission to God).

Blue
Blue reflects peace as it’s the opposite of red. It actually causes the body to release calming chemicals. But beware, the wrong shade of blue can be depressing and cold. Blue also reflects loyalty, and studies have shown that people are actually more productive in blue rooms!

I like reading about niche dating sites, from Star Trek enthusiasts to Geek dating, but this one is truly remarkable. If you are against sex before marriage then this is right up your street.

Platonicpartners.co.uk is a new site that has been launched for those seeking intimacy without intercourse. I guess not all of us think about it all day! The site says that it will help the silent minority of adults seeking “celibate, platonic, non-physical or partly physical relationships” and help them to find a mate.

Susie King, a former Life Coach is the founder of the site and was spurred to create it after a close friend attempted suicide because of his sexual impotence. He did not want a future without a loving relationship.

The issue had also come up repeatedly during her work as a life coach, with clients admitting that they could not or did not want to have sex any more, but still sought love and affection.

“I started to do some research into how many people might be in the same boat and the figures suggested it could be as many as five million at any one time,” she said.
