How far are brands going to go to get us to sit up and takn notice of them? Many brand gorilla marketing ideas are absolute crap… but this actually has some legs I’m pleased to say!

SkyDate will be hosted on board a Boeng 737-700, 36,000 feet up in the air on the 28th November 2007.  The trip is from London Luton to Prague and I must say that it’s an absolute pleasure to see an airline trying something different.

My feeling is that the toilets will be well guarded for people wanting to join the mile high club!

Each SkyDate participant will be assigned a reserved seat for the start of the flight. After the speed dating begins, a signal will ring every 5 minutes ending one round and beginning the next. The women will remain seated, while the men rotate seats for the next round. The rotations will continue until you have met all of the candidates printed on your SkyDate flight card. After each round, you will get the opportunity to cast a secret vote about the person you just met. Do you want to see him or her again?

This is what happens when you date your mate’s mum….

image

In America a 17 year old attacked his 19 year old friend with an axe because he discovered the older teen was dating his mother.

Only in America I hear you say!

The 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder.

His friend was taken to the hospital, but doctors said he is stable and will probably recover. We’re not sure if he’ll carry on seeing his mate’s mum!! She’s obviously a classy kind’a girl!

Rihanna has fallen for actor Josh Hartnett in a BIG way!

image

She was recently spotted “kissing and cuddling” Josh in New York nightclub, Pink Elephant, and at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Rihanna said: “I would be lying if I told you we were not more than just friends. I have so fallen for him, he is lovely”.

“He is so hot and he is really sweet to me. When we hang out it feels right - even though it’s still pretty new.”

Josh made a move o the sexy 19 year old after watching her perform in her racy stage outfits at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square the night before.

The 29-year-old actor refused to deny rumours he was romancing Rihanna and dodged questions about the couple’s steamy nightclub embrace during a subsequent TV interview.

When asked if he had been kissing Rihanna, Josh stuttered: “Whoa, whoa, whoa! No, no, no. Come on you guys! This is, uh, we weren’t supposed to talk about these things were we?”

Josh’s previous conquests include: Scarlett Johansson and supermodel Helena Christensen.

When should you agree to meet their folks?

Well if your finding yourself asking this question then you’re not alone. Many people ask me when exactly to meet the folks and I always say the same thing:

“When you are comfortable with the idea”.

Never feel pressured into it, that’s my advice. Sometimes relationships move so fast tat we almost feel out of control, and this is bad! Get control of the relationship and YOU decide when you feel it’s right for YOU.

As a general rule I wait for at least 3 months before the introduction is made.

But something else to comprehend, and that is not to place too much emphasis on ‘meeting the folks’. Remember that it isn’t a job interview and they will just be happy for their daughter/son if they are happy… with you.

Obviously when you do meet them, best behaviour is the order of the day, but don’t try too hard. You are you and they are not the ones that have to date you!

Psychologists recently suggested that dating online daily adds a great boost to your confidence.

Online dating is an empowering experience for many women because they feel more confident flirting and asking for what they need in cyberspace than in face-to-face situations.

According to sex and relationship psychologist Dr Petra Boynton, women should use online dating as a means to improve their confidence outside the internet.
