British pop star Natasha Bedingfield has recently stated she finds the dating divide between the UK and US huge. Having spent the last couple of years getting her career off the ground in the US, she admits she finds US men super confident and not afraid of rejection.
She also concedes she’s often the one to approach potential boyfriends back home in Britain. She says, “Guys in America are a bit more forward than in England. You can be out, food shopping, and guys will just come up to you and go, ‘I just have to ask, will you go out with me?’ and I’m like, ‘Erm, no!’”
“Here (in the UK), the guy has to be pissed before he can ask you. That’s why I can do the asking. I’ve never been a person who gives out their number on the street.”
Robbie Williams has branded the Hollywood dating scene “f***ing stupid” in an emotionally-charged rant on his website.
The British singer launched a ferocious tirade online, branding U.S. dating ‘rules’ “rubbish” - and lashing out at a mystery woman called Tina.
The star also wrote in full: “There are a few dating rules people adhere to out here in Hollywood. And they’re all f***ing stupid. Don’t call until the next day. Then don’t get back to him for at least two days, etc”.
“It’s all rubbish. If any of these rules are applied to me, I respond in kind by never speaking to them again.”

Keira Knightley prefers British men to their American counterparts because they’re less vain. The Pirates Of The Caribbean star is currently dating English actor Rupert Friend and finds his relaxed and easy-going nature reflects British men in general.
