Commitment is something you can’t take lightly. It means no more lewd behavior with strangers you meet in a bar… no more being selfish…

1. Where do you want to live?
Commitment to engagement and marriage is great, but where will you live after the cake is cut? You’ll need to compromise, particularly if one of you envisions an apartment in the city while the other foresees a white picket fence and labrador retriever.

2. How will you merge your finances?
If you’re planning to be together then your finances will come together too. Will you open up joint accounts or still maintain separate bank accounts? You’ll also need to start thinking about a budget together, particularly your ability to save.
