Here’s an interesting niche dating site, itsjustcoffee.com attracts a load of people (in the States) who are into arts and culture, are socially conscious and down to earth. The singles that meet through it are said to be eclectic, optimists and a lot of fun to hang out with.

So what’s the drill?
Simply go onto the site and sign up for free. Enter all your personal details and then get to work looking for your braniac in the database they hold. Unfortunately this service is not available here in the UK yet, but only in the States.
Arrange to go for a coffee… and then chat till your brain is sore with chatting!
Let’s hope we see something like this in the UK soon, we nerds need some stimulating dates!
I had to write and tell you about a blog I just stumbled across called I can’t Believe He’s Still Single.
The Editor obviously reviews loads of profiles on dating sites and picks out all the truly sad bastards who are clearly never going to find love the way they are going. If you wanna cheer yourself up because you just been dumped or your boiler has just blown up, then co see for yourself…

At least he’s clearly got sense of humour going for him!

A survey just released indicates that single dads will choose to post a profile on a dating site over any other forms of dating.
Conducted in May 2007 by True.com, the survey involved 5,600 single dads in the US and tried to get to the bottom of why so many single fathers are choosing online dating and what they’re looking for in a relationship.
Survey results showed that most single fathers agree that online dating is a safer and easier method for meeting other singles:
• 75 percent of respondents said that online dating is the easiest way for single parents to meet others
• 67 percent said that online dating is a safer way to date
• 67 percent regard TRUE’s policy of screening for criminals and married people as very important (vs. 26 percent for convenient, but not important)

There’s a new dating concept known as Soif du Coeur (Thirsty Heart) just launched that involves buying a €3 bottle of wine which contains a code printed on the back label – revealed once the bottle has been emptied. Prospective daters then enter their code and details on the Soif du Coeur website, which matches them up with a potential partner and fellow wine lover. How innovative!
The project was launched by two Bordeaux-based wine wholesalers, Omnivins and Chateau en Bordeaux to promote a new Vins de Pays de l’Atlantique range.
350,000 bottles of Soif du Coeur wine have been sold to participating supermarkets (pink for girls, blue for boys) since its soft launch on 21 March. The website will be officially launched at Vinexpo 2007 in June.
