Now you can’t get more romantic than this, trust me. Take your lady or man to a river near you where you know they ire boats and take one out for a couple of hours. Apart from the chill out factor here are a load of other reasons why it makes sense:

• It’s a fabulous way to relax and spend some quality time with each other.
• A chance to show off your muscles (if you have any). Ladies love broad shoulders.
• It makes a splendid surprise.
• You get out and get some fresh air!

Now before you all think I have gone completely mad, a car boot sale is a great place for a date for a number of reasons. Yes, they may think you are a pikie piece of trailer trash, but on the flip side:

• Gives you a chance to laugh together at Polish freaks in muscle vests from the 80’s and deformed pikies buying a load of crap therefore appreciating each others sense of humour.
• You can show off your cut throat bargaining skills – pretending you are the next Donald Trump.
• You can pick up a bargain whilst there.

Now that’s gonna be really useful isn’t it!!!

So it’s not such a bad date after all. I don’t recommend you to suggest a car boot as the first date by the way, they definitely will think you are a pikie!!!!

What a perfectly romantic summer afternoon in England… but be sure they don’t fall asleep at the thought of watching a game of village cricket.

image
You also get to laugh at the funny looking country folk!

Loads of people, especially the uncultured, are going to be entirely turned off by the idea so don’t be surprised if you get blown out. If you can just get them there you will have a fantastic afternoon just basking in the sun.

The best way to approach the date is by telling them you have prepared a picnic, then just taking them on a magical mystery tour that ends up under a tree next to a cricket pitch..

Just sit back, explain the rules to your date (if you know them!) and get to know them - the slow paced of cricket helps you chill out.

Just protect your middle stump!

If you are in the early – mid stages of dating then you need to stay as far away from these places as you possibly can. In no paticullar order:

Your parent’s house –
If you want to test their wits and get them running the 100m faster than Lindford ‘Lunchbox’ Christie then suggest a dinner date with your parents. It’s OK later on in the relationship, but too early can look too keen.

The local swimming pool or beach –
Ask yourself, do you really want them to see the hair protruding from your bikini or the pot belly you pretend you don’t have! Even if you don’t have these two things, people get very funny about how they look and showing too much flesh too early on.

This won’t get you any votes either!

No I’m not talking about the obvious places like online or down the local boozer after 5 pints. These places are tried and tested and the difference is that the pressure is off you to find someone, even if you don’t you’ll still have a great time with any of the below:

Travelling
I’m talking about going on holiday alone so you HAVE to meet people and joining an experience like Oz Experience or Kiwi Experience etc. You will be entirely relaxed and therefore at your most confident and attractive. You even get to tour a beautiful country! If these tours are too far and expensive for you, try Eurorailing, you meet tons of people in the same boat.

Sailing
If you aren’t sea sick then sailing is great fun. There are loads of yachts that are chartered with a team of strangers brought together as a team building exercise. It can be hugely romantic… but make sure the weather is likely to be good.

What could be a better romantic setting!
