The old ‘home dinner date’ heh!  A great venue for your own confidence and a chance to show how you live – something more important than you perhaps anticipate…

Your date may feel a little on the back foot, therefore its up to you to try to make the date as non-threatening as possible.  I have drawn up 5 top ideas for creating an effective mood for your home date, one that isn’t too full on and hopefully gets you the result you want.  Try all, if not, a couple of these:

1 - Set the mood through music, this is a chance to express your taste in music or just set a relaxing mood.  I’m talking Barry White, Dido, R Kelley etc.

2 – Even if you are no cook, try and put some effort into making a decent meal.  Even if it tastes crap it’s the thought that counts, and trust me, it counts for a lot!  Don’t cheat and get a take away saying you cooked it! Too obvious!

3 –Light some scented candles.  Nice smells are good and combined with the flickering light make the whole occasion a special occasion.  Check out my tips on body language too, the light helps your pupils present themselves as desirable.

4 – Choose a classy wine (if you drink of course).  It doesn’t need to be expensive, it just needs to say ‘I’ve thought about this’.  If you get an opportunity ask your date prior to the event what their favourite wine is and then try to get it – if you manage to put it on the table on the night, you will gain huge respect.

5 – Clues – leave some items out that best represent your life.  These may be photos, paintings, clothing, gadgets etc.  They are great for conversation pieces, especially if you get stuck!  Just position them carefully and as if they have not purposely been placed.

Good luck and .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) how it goes!
