Carbon Neutral Romance & Dating

The world has gone carbon neutral mad therefore I’d thought this article would be right up everyone who is currently datings’ street – how can we date and save the world at the same time?

Well, believe it or not there are a few things you can do to reduce your carbon dating footprint which I have listed below. If any readers have any other ideas I’d love you to list them.

1 – Get yourself a carbon neutral PC to surf the net, and all those potential partners on.  PC World is looking to release such a computer in Summer 07 (no price available), made entirely out of recycled materials. The firm will then offset the carbon created running the machines into planting trees!

2 – If you’re having them over to dinner, turn down the heating a little bit… may actually work in your favour when they get cold and need some warming up!

3 – If you are a gym member and are currently toning up for the summer and the dating frenzy, just go for a run rather than drive down the gym to do your work out. Defeats the point of it anyway doesn’t it? Oh, and remember to wear sweaty clothes twice before you wash them!

4 – When you invite them over, turn all the lights off and light candles everywhere, makes for a romantic setting, you save money, and the world!

5 – If you agree to meet somewhere neutral, offer to pick them up and drop them off, thereby saving a car journey, as well as the embarrassment of getting too drunk on an early date.

6 – Suggest a nice cycle ride out into the country, no smoke, plenty of fresh air… and the true romantic side of you!

7 – Go green and grow your own veg. It couldn’t be easier and it’s highly satisfying to see those healthy little tatas get swallowed up and compliments fly your way. Makes a great talking point and presents you as responsible.

8 – Learn a few other simple methods of reducing your footprint here and bring it up on your date. Because it’s so NOW, people will listen to you and enjoy your opinions.

And if they look at you like you are a mad tree hugging hippy – are they really responsible enough to get involved with you?
