Date in numbers on a first date
I recently went on a date and got some really bad vibes from this guy who kept on trying to touch me. How do I make sure the person I am dating is not out for what he can get? Stacey, USA.
Well, your story is certainly a common one. I am guesssing you met this person ‘blind’ and had no recommendation from a friend. My advice would be to meet for the first time in a crowded venue, watch your drink at all times (for date rape pills) and make your feelings clear if you feel uncomfortable - this way you can’t be accued of leading your date on.
I would strongly advise against going back to either your place of his on the first date, there are a lot of idiots out there who just want sex, don’t give in!!! The wait will b worthwhile and you should only really start to think about going to the next stage after at least 3 dates, and then you should not be persuaded - it’ s on your terms or not at all.
