Dating websites go floppy over bisexuals!
Lavalife.com, the Toronto based dating engine recently booted a bisexual man off its site for being open about batting for both teams. I thought our Canadian cousins were more liberal than that!

The disappointed man said: “I’ve put my profile up on dating sites in the UK and I’ve never had this problem before.” His profile, which identified him as a “bi guy up for fun,” was rejected via an e-mail notification.
“We’re sorry to inform you that we have reviewed your Intimate [category] profile and found that it does not meet our guidelines,” stated the e-mail. “We cannot accept your profile because it is more appropriate for our Manline service which is designed for men seeking men. Please create your profile on Manline.”
Last year it was Yahoo Personals and Match.com who found themselves discriminating bisexuals from using their sites. Neither site allows profiles involving non-monogamy on the grounds that it conflicts with their anti-cheating policies.
Unlike Match.com and Yahoo Personals, Lavalife doesn’t have restrictions on members presenting themselves as looking for open relationships, casual or kinky sex, although these are sometimes relegated to the Intimate Encounters section. Lavalife’s issue appears to rest entirely with bisexuality.
“You’re just not allowed to be bisexual,” says Pollard. “They’ve got this archaic point of view where they just see things in black and white. You’re either straight or gay.”
Has anyone come up with an idea for a site for bisexuals and bicurious?!
