Deformed dating – WTF!
Dutch TV channel is looking for deformed contestants to take part in a new reality dating show. This is probably the weirdest thing I have ever written about!
Producers are planning to launch the show at the end of Feb and call it ‘Love at Second Sight’!
The producers are appealing for volunteers, saying: ‘Do you have a visible serious handicap and are you looking for a partner?’
They have suggested those lacking one or both eyes, or suffering severe burns or scars, might come forward.
Contestants would write in with their details, hoping viewers show an interest in dating.
A spokesman said: “The programme is a platform for people with such problems to share experiences and feelings in a positive way with the rest of the Netherlands and to show that they are absolutely not pitiful.
“The main aim of the programme is to remove prejudice about these people, to create more acceptance and respect and, of course, to find the love of their lives.” The show was originally going to be called ‘Monster Love’.
