As a male we have inherited the ideology of the dominant party. This isn’t the case in most scenarios – we must try to keep it 50/50 and unthreatening. From experience ladies also like to be a little dominated and this is where good old fashion values come into full effect. My advice is to take the lead initially to present yourself as a confident male. Then back off – you will have staked your claim. Your mission if you choose to accept it is to relax your date as much as possible and enjoy the date.
There are loads of ways to create that positive impression, these are just a few tasters to try:
1- “Your hair looks great” – this may sound cheesy but it is one of the least challenging or threatening ways to compliment a lady.
2 - “What’s that perfume, its gorgeous” – the smells a lady gives off is incredibly important to her, by saying this you will relax her.
3 - “You look fantastic” – a little bolder, and it shows that you have checked them out (their figure) which ladies can also be a little uncomfortable with. This may be too forward on the first date and potentially a little threatening – read the scenario.
4 - “You have the most amazing eyes / smile” – this is probably a 3rd or 4th date thing to say. It shows you have studied them hard and may be a little threatening from the outset.
5 - “Great choice of venue, you obviously have class”! – said with a little bit of cheek and with a smile you can immediately relax the situation and put you both at ease. It is even more cheeky if you organized the venue!
