Every now and then a funky little idea comes along, and in this instance it’s from California in the form of WingGirlsUSA.com. It works just like the male ‘wing man’ concept whereby you take your buddy out with you for some support on the battlefields (clbs,pubs etc).
In this instance however, a fella can hire a lady for a night who will basically help you make introductions to birds that you fancy. So it’s almost like going out with your sister who has the ‘balls’ to go and make the introduction for you. I bet the founder Raelaine San Buenaventura is great fun herself to come up with this!
After realizing that many single American men are lured by dating websites that promise a lot but only deliver disappointment, San Buenaventura came up with a novel idea: why not offer single men a service wherein they can actually hire a woman to help them break the ice and meet the women they fancy?
“Women usually have this defensive wall up, so it’s not easy for a guy—especially a group of them—to approach a woman,” she says. “Having a female friend by his side makes the man seem less offensive and intimidating to the woman.”
WingGirls USA currently services the state of California, with plans to expand their reach to other major states such as Illinois and New York in the near future.
