How to tell if you are going to be a victim of Date Rape.
There are some sick bast*rds out there I’m afraid to say. They’re so sad that they have to use drugs to guarantee their success in the sack. Although with the help of the media and a number of websites, people are being made more aware about what it is that they need to look out for.

Unfortunately you just can’t tell who these sad individual are unless you catch them in the act of course. At this stage you should subtly contact the bartender and tell them you are suspicious and for whatever reason.
The drug is called Rohypnol and believe it or not it is a legitimate drug used in the short-term treatment of sleep disorders. It’s part of the Valium family (but 10 times more potent) and sometimes known as flunitrazepam. It can only be prescribed privately in the UK.
It rose to prominence as the date rape drug because it was colourless, odourless and tasteless - ideal for spiking drinks undetected - and causes sedation or euphoria in approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Effects last for up to 8 hours (dependent upon dosage).
In 1998 the manufacturer revised the formula to make it easier to detect. It now contains a blue dye that will appear when it is added to any drink, and it is slower to dissolve. Counterfeit versions of the drug have been reported in the US which do not have these added features.

When combined with alcohol, Rohypnol can make users shed their inhibitions. They can also suffer from loss of memory.
These are some ways to tell that you may be a victim:
Post-January 1998 Rohypnol from Roche should turn the drink blue and leave a residue on the surface.
The person you are talking to is acting suspiciously, looking at their watch, looking nervous etc
Things start happening 10 minutes after you have been spiked. If you feel amnesia or dizziness suddenly kick in, get out of there fast and get a friend to help you.
The best advice to avoid being spiked is to trust no one. Never accept any opened drink, particularly not from a stranger. Tamper-proof bottles or cans are recommended. They should not be opened by someone else.
