All of us, at some point in our lives have been on a first date. A key question we ask ourselves is ... What do I wear?

First Date Fashion Tips for Men:

1. Assess the ‘date’ venue and dress accordingly. A good look is to be smart, casual. This normally involes a smart pair of trousers/jeans with a collared shirt. You want to give the impression that you have made a bit of effort, girls are good at telling if you haven’t!

2. Don’t wear a suit if you don’t feel comfortable in it. Looking uptight and constantly fiddling with a choking collar or tie is a real turnoff.

3. A good tip is to make sure you wear a good deodorant - underarm patches are never a good look and they are more likely to appear when you are nervous.

4. Have the confidence to give your date a compliment on what she’s wearing. Every woman likes to know that her effort has been appreciated, even if you dislike her outfit, find one thing to focus on and be complimentary.

5. Stay away from wearing white socks. You shouldn’t be wearing them anyway apart from when your doing sport but even this could be avoided. Girls notice the finest of details so if your sat down at the ‘date’ venue then she’ll be sure to notice them!
