The hazards of dating around online
If you’re dating online you are spoilt for choice. Never have you been subjected to so many potential lovers all wanting a piece of you. You can quite easily chat to 10 prospects at the same time, dropping the same lyrical landmines and wooing your way into their hearts. Prospects even become expendable and the ones who don’t want to know can just sod off!!!
It’s very easy to become a cyber-slag! And that means men as well!
The alarming thing is that nobody even has to know that you are dating around online… until you get a load of abuse on Facebook where ex lovers may start posting nasty things about you. This can land you in some serious hot water with other dates you are stringing along… just be aware that you could get busted at any time.
You’ve also got the health issues of unprotected sex etc.. but more about that in a minute.
Whilst there is nothing wrong with dating a number of different people online, you have to keep your options open of course, there are a couple of simple rules to adhere to:
1 – Be prepared to give it all up for the right one. If you want to hang onto them then be honest with yourself and them and stop all other contact with prospects. You can always get back on it if it goes nowhere!
2 – Try to avoid talking about dating others… even if you are. Play each date as if they are THE ONE… and if it doesn’t work out then so what! But talking about being a cyber-slag is certainly no boast to a date. Never lie about dating… just avoid the truth!
3 – Have an open mind. Some dates may just want sex, others marriage! Take the date for how you want it and don’t be dictated to. Take charge.
4 – Be polite on every date. No matter who it is, always be courteous. Even if they are horrible… just make your excuses and go! If you like them, then they will of course warm to you more if you are courteous and make them feel comfortable.
5 – Be careful. Sleeping around in our days is acceptable. BUT be aware that if they have jumped into bed easily enough with you… then ho many people have they done that with. Rubber up!
