The rules of romantic and flirt texting!
Texting is simple, fast and cheap… and it avoids us actually talking therefore appeals to many of us who may not be confident enough to ask someone out face to face. It’s an acceptable way of flirting and getting a date BUT there are some rules you must adhere to:
Flirt with caution
Texting doesn’t have a ‘tone of voice’, in other words people read it according to how they feel at the time. Text something a little too sexy and they may take it entirely the wrong way and brand you a pervert! Remember that what you send is on their phone until they decide to delete it so if they want to they could show it to all their friends and make a mockery of you. The best thing to do is keep them guessing – don’t give too much away… use they psychology to get them thinking about your text and a possible double meaning.
Call if it calls for it!
If things get out of context with your flirting always be prepared to pick up the phone to them and smooth out the misunderstanding. As a dating expert I always advise my clients to pick up the phone anyway as it is harder for someone to turn down a date than if sent on a text. Texting can get very expensive if you aren’t careful about it… also be aware of this to avoid any unwanted high bills at the end of the month. People are attracted to confidence, and you’ll certainly show it far more by calling – leave a voice mail if need be.
Don’t text at strange times!
Texting at 3 in the morning on the way back from the pub is not a good option. You look desperate and often pisses off the recipient because you will more than likely wake them up. You’ll have desperate written all over you. We’ve all done it, but resist the urge.
Drunken texting – a BIG NO-NO!
There’s nothing worse than waking up in the morning after heavy night and checking your mobile to see who you told you loved at 3 in the morning! The urge will have passed and you will be a laughing stock… trust me! It’s way too forward and stinks of desperation – a massive turn off, especially for women. Do yourself a favor and leave your mobile at home and well away from booze!
A quick reminder…
Romantic texting comes into its own when you want to remind someone that you are thinking about them. It’s a lovely feeling to receive a text from someone you like in the middle of a boring lecture or presentation, it makes us feel special. But only say that… don’t get racy and start talking about all the things you want to do to them later (unless they like that of course!). A quick text after an initial date is always a great idea… puts the ball in their court – I’m talking about a text saying.. ‘I had a great time last night’ or ‘I’d love to do it again soon’… something to let them know that you like them is always a good idea.

READER COMMENTS:
A good flirt always addresses the lady courteously and with dignity, and he never hurries into things.Be patient and be slow if you want to flirt effectively.
