Top 5 least obvious places to find your perfect mate

No I’m not talking about the obvious places like online or down the local boozer after 5 pints. These places are tried and tested and the difference is that the pressure is off you to find someone, even if you don’t you’ll still have a great time with any of the below:

Travelling
I’m talking about going on holiday alone so you HAVE to meet people and joining an experience like Oz Experience or Kiwi Experience etc. You will be entirely relaxed and therefore at your most confident and attractive. You even get to tour a beautiful country! If these tours are too far and expensive for you, try Eurorailing, you meet tons of people in the same boat.

Sailing
If you aren’t sea sick then sailing is great fun. There are loads of yachts that are chartered with a team of strangers brought together as a team building exercise. It can be hugely romantic… but make sure the weather is likely to be good.

What could be a better romantic setting!

Volunteering
If you are a generous and kind person and fancy doing a little bit to help others then you may want to think about volunteering with a charity of your choice. Not only will you be helping people as you want to do, but you will be meeting others who feel the same way and possibly looking for companionship. Try Timebank , a website dedicated to finding volunteers for all types of charities.

Dancing
Ball room dancing (for example) has taken off big time with the rise of a variety of TV programmes glamorising dancing. Loads of dance schools are popping up everywhere and where better to find a potential mate – people normally join as a single! Check out this website that helps you locate a dance partner.

Ask a friend for help
OK, possibly the most obvious but one that we often forget to do. Tell your friends you are single and fancy a date and who could they recommend. Your perfect partner is probably only a stone’s throw away… what are mates for anyway!
