Violence and teen dating
Something we Brits don’t want to be passed on from the USA is the alarming levels of ‘teen dating violence’ which a recent report has highlighted.
It questioned 1000 teenagers who were actively dating and found that 1 in 5 was being abused by their partner. It also highlighted that 30% worry about their personal safety. Over half of the respondents said that they went against their moral beliefs to please their partner.
Researchers say part of the problem is, teenagers are entering serious relationships too soon.
I think you will agree that this is a frightening set of statistics and we must be very careful about what levels of relationship we get into at a young age.
