What does ‘maybe’ mean when you ask someone out?
If you ask someone on a date and they say ‘maybe’ they are saying ‘YES, but I think I am being funny by playing hard to get’.
This guy has clearly got the ‘playing it cool’ concept off to a tee even naming an album after it.
Let them enjoy the moment in the knowledge they are actually tempted by your offer and highly likely to say ‘yes’. If you need some other pointers to ensure they are interested try reading my article on body language here.
In extreme cases ‘maybe’ can mean that there are terms attached to a date, for instance; no touching, snogging, pet names etc… you can expect to be read the rules if they are there.
If however they just say maybe and then turn away, they want a chase. It’s up to you whether or not you do the chasing, it could pay off, but these sort of people normally have such low self esteem that they are actually looking for more of a confidence boost. Only you can judge thus, but beware that if you do go out with them they could be high maintenance!
