What Makes You Fancy Someone?
It’s something that has baffled people for time, but now there seems to be few answers around that make sense out of why you fancy fatter, thinner, more intelligent, black, etc people. This article will hopefully shed some light on how your body controls who you fancy, waking up in the past and laying next to some heffer… it’s a mystery to me!
Initially it’s down to a persons genes and what we look for without even knowing it. There are a number of things that come into the equation:
Booze (unofficial).
People, I don’t need to say any more… everyone looks like a stunner after enough booze! My advice is to cast your eyes on a couple of ‘good’ prospects before you get battered and stick to the plan. It’s when you go wayward that you end up trying to chew off your arm in the morning.
Perfect symmetrica features
I think this is what Hitler was on about when he went in search of the Arian race. We’re talking about the ‘perfect’ human being with equal shaped face (or as close to). Apparently Annie Lennox’s face is perfectly symmetrical, but Sloth from the Goonies is probably the worst case of not being symmetrical. Apparently men in particular go for women with such features and the preference for women is not as strong. Then we go back to our cave men days – women look for strength and the ability to be a hunter gatherer. This applies to wealth and is why someone like Rowan Atkinson can find a mate although he is hideously ugly.
Look at the body on that!
Studies have shown that men prefer women with a waist to hip ratio of 0.7. You can calculate your own using this formula:
waist measurement ÷ hip measurement = ratio.
This still applies whatever the woman’s overall weight. The reason for this driver is that men look at the ability for the female to reproduce and as women et older their waste becomes less pronounced and therefore they are considered less fertile.
PMA (positive mental attitude)
We’ve seen it in action when someone can truly love themselves they can’t help but give off the right chemicals which make them entirely attractive – look at that nob from Celebrity Love Island, the bloke from Hollyoaks. He got all the girls because he was full of himself.
It’s also a strange fact that many married couples tend to look and act similarly. According to research we prefer someone that looks just like us.
Mums & dads, the perfect partners!?
This is scary; studies have shown that what we really want our mates to look like are our parents! Don’t freak out, its true.
Women are after a man who is like their father and men want to be able to see their own mother in the woman of their dreams. I’m not saying you’d sleep with your mum or dad, but I must admit that there are certain qualities I look for in my girlfriends that my mum has!
