Would you sleep with a client to win business?
Believe it or not many of you would. I undertook a recent survey here in the UK across 3 Southern counties which asked 100 professional men and women whether or not they would consider sleeping with a client to win their business.
Conferences can be so boring, last thing on your mind is sex!
Bearing in mind that 78% of these people were in a relationship, 65% said they would if the deal meant that they would profit from it (i.e. commission was due). Scary figures eh! If no commission was due but there was recognition then 30% may consider it.
However only 27% said they would continue to see them once they had achieved the initial deal they would be hoping to get.
34% had already been there and done it with a client. The most opportune times are late meetings and industry conferences… and it tends to happen after a few drinks.
Still no excuse you cheapskates!
